In 1978 Matthew McKay received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. He is a professor at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, and also works in private practice, specializing in the treatment of depression and anxiety. McKay has authored and coauthored more than twenty self-help books, including The Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook, 6th Edition, Self-Esteem, 3rd Edition, Thoughts & Feelings, 3rd Edition, Messages, 3rd Edition, and The Daily Relaxer, and brings a unique understanding of readers’ needs to his role as publisher.
