I am a blend of a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Psychiatric Social Worker. I have read this activities workbook with a great interest. I love each and every activity which is friendly to any or every culture. I am amazed to read that the activities are asking kids to be involved,provide their opinion. When we work with adults we involve them in their treatment plan and in decision making. I feel this activities are great tool to involve kids into their own treatment process, which in rerun make them feel valued. Thanks to the technology, now a days kids are more grown up and always wants to be involved in their own life decision making. Activity 3: What You Like and Don't Like About Having ADHD. Activity: What Do You Need Help With? Activity 5: What Should You Pay Attention To? Are among the best activities to involve kids in their own therapy process and the outcome help kids to focus, pay attention to the things and also feel valued and welcomed. These activities are also helping kids to get oriented with their own emotions and once getting to know own emotions; kids will be able to better handle their emotions without emotional outbursts. Activities also making kids become structured by using mindfulness at home or at school will help kids to get along with others and also following rules, remembering things. Remaining calm during test is the one of the most important activity that kids with ADHD can practice to calm them during exams and pay more attention to their exam without getting anxious or hyper. These activities are great tool to boost their self-esteem, which in return reduce their hyperactivity or inattentiveness (ADHD).
